Hi,
I saw someone post a question about this on a thread from a few years ago, but wondering if anyone is having this problem now and if there's any resolution. I'm a new cohost. I reentered my info at least 6 times, changing a few things with my name because I wasn't sure if my middle initial or full name was required. I just checked my official IRS documents and have entered it correctly, but still getting the failed email... any hope for fixing this? I contacted Airbnb support and it wasn't a helpful phone call. Thanks!

I just tried it again… And it went through! I guess seventh time’s the charm! Thanks!
Not sure on this one...
Does the name on your actual Airbnb profile/account match the IRS official documents exactly?
my Airbnb profile doesn’t ask for a middle name, just first and last name. so no it doesn’t
You are right!
Ok...
When you complete the substitute W9 and only include your first and last name you get the IRS validation error?
Any change to your legal name? (marriage, divorce?)
Does the name on the payout method info you have setup match the name on your profile?
