Writing a review

what to write when a guest cancels mid booking

Hi @Lorraine16 ,

If you had a good experience with them then I would just write a review like you would normally. If you are wanting to avoid any further conversation with this person then I would not.    I would not be the first to review unless your experience was super. In a case like this, I let my guest know in the message board that I left a 5 star review for them and thank them again for being a great guest. So there is no wondering on the guest side, did I give a good review. I only do this for a 5 star though.

If something negative happened for either side and you are wanting to reference this in a review you can do that too, but that gets tricky and you don't want to reference something that hasn't been brought up (meaning they may or may not mention in their review), if that makes sense. You can always respond accordingly.

You can state that this reservation was canceled mid-way, if you wish to let others know, otherwise I would not necessarily mention, unless it serves you somehow.

Good luck!

thanks. Personally I would really like not to write a review.... I've been in contact with AirBnB and believe this matter is closed. Thus not sure there is any reason to write of review. That was my quandary. I would be just as happy to not be in need of writing anything. Thanks again
