WHY DOES AIRBNB PERMIT YOU TO LIST YOUR PROPERTY IF ZONING LAWS DON'T ALLOW IT?

It's your responsibility as the business owner to check with your local government about any STR and any other requirements @William2584  likely to affect your STR business.

Airbnb is just a marketing platform.

Hi @William2584 😊

Thank you for asking this question in the Community Center!

Where are you hosting from?

Have you seen Helen's comment? What are your thoughts on it?

Hi Elisa, I think it’s would be in everyone’s best interest if it Airbnb would confirm if the location is able to provide STR and if not what can be done to help. The most important thing we have is time.

@William2584 The most important way to use that time is to do your research before you open a business. Running an AirBnB is a business. I'm not sure why you think AirBnB should do that for you?

There are potential hosts in different jurisdictions that have different rules and regulations all over the world. How could AirBnB possibly handle that?

It's your responsibility and you should own that.  Blaming AirBnB is not fair.
