airbnb and hst collection and remittance

my accountant took my 2021 earnings from what i received from guests i hosted and added hst for my year end income tax.  what does everyone else do.

CRA has very specific rules about Rental Income and GST/HST. To confirm what was reported by your accountant, ask him/her to explain.  You can then search the CRA website for both subjects. CRA puts out very detailed publications of the laws.

not sure why he is doing that! Airbnb collects HST on our behalf and submits themselves. That would mean government is collecting twice on your bookings.
