@Ajeet1

Hopefully, the DM that Community Manager Nick sent you yesterday contains some information that will lead to the release of your missing/withheld  payouts ASAP.

In the meantime though, let's see if we can figure this out. I think we can remove Payoneer from the equation for the moment - they're probably a bit of a red herring in this specific situation.

So, just to clarify - your reviews go all the way back to Jan 2016, so presumably, you were receiving your payouts into the bank account you had originally registered on your Airbnb account - without any previous issues - from then until September 2017, when your payouts suddenly stopped?

A 'Community Education Specialist' then advised you to update your bank details on your Airbnb account - which you did, several times (at this point, you were simply re-entering the same bank details relating to the account that Airbnb had been successfully transferring your payouts to since you started hosting in early 2016 - is that correct?)

Then you opened a new bank account to see if that might solve the problem, and added your new bank details to your payout information on your Airbnb account. But that didn't work either.

Meanwhile, you were sent on wild goose chases by Airbnb to your bank and to Payoneer, both of which denied responsibility and referred you back to Airbnb?

Throughout all this, you carried on hosting, in the firm belief that Airbnb would come good and eventually pay you out when everything got sorted. However, 70 unpaid stays later, Airbnb suddenly delisted your account in October 2018, blaming issues with your bank account verification. (Do you still have the email Airbnb sent you when they closed your account?)

Despite contacting Airbnb over 100 times since then, you remain unpaid and Airbnb is still holding INR 1,28,473 of your money, which is still appearing in Transaction History >×Upcoming Payouts.

Do I have all that correct, or is there anything there that I've missed or misunderstood?

"Nick send me message an i have added my bank details again"

Make sure you screenshot the bank details you have just re-entered, Ajeet. In fact, screenshot absolutely everything - including emails and support messages - and record any calls from this point forward.

Also, request from Airbnb a copy of any and all bank details they have had on file for you since you first opened your account in 2016.

Additionally, inform Airbnb that you require that they send you a copy of all documents relating to any previous failed attempts to send your payouts to you, to include source and destination details, payment reference number, disbursement reference number, originator reference number, WL reference number, beneficiary account number, beneficiary bank name and address, beneficiary bank routing code, payment method, alternate reference number, internal payment method, post-release information and reason for return/refusal

It doesn't matter one bit if you're not familiar with all those terms - you don't need to be. What matters is that they send you those documents - which they're obliged to do - as they'll be invaluable for you to have in hand, should Airbnb keep messing you about and you need to take this further.

Don't wait around any longer to see what Airbnb might or might not do, now that you've given them your bank details yet again, as you already have done many times previously. Be proactive and send the request for all the information that I outlined above ASAP. That should focus their attention and hopefully, get things moving forward a little quicker for you.

Unfortunately, just because you were told something by an Airbnb customer service representative, does not necessarily make it true - which is why you need to request the documents and information I mentioned in my previous post, in order to gain a clearer picture of exactly what did happen.

Hi @Ajeet1 I'm sorry to hear you have been hit with such a long delayed payment issue. I've sent you a DM with more information on the matter. Please have a look to see next steps.

Also thanks @Helen3 for the tag.

Something similar is happening to me. I hosted a guest and the next day after they arrived Airbnb sent the payment but it went to an account that was no longer valid so it was rejected and the funds sent back to Airbnb. I updated my payment options, selected a valid bank account and immediately let Airbnb know, both by phone and support with proof that their initial payment had been rejected.

It has been now...26 days! Yes, TWENTY-SIX days, I have sent dozens of messages to Airbnb Support, called them at least 6 times. And they keep on telling me, "don't worry, we'll check and make a new payment." So far nothing. I am desperate. The guest is leaving today after having stayed 26 days in my apartment...FOR FREE.

What can I do? When I call them on the phone I get useless customer support who are clueless and tell me this is with the Payment Center, but there is no phone to call the Payment Center, only via email and sometimes they just ignore me.

What is going on? Is Airbnb broke and keeping funds owed hosts?
