Airbnb just send me payouts for stays that were six months ago

This blows my mind. I'm clearly not a bookkeeper by profession nor doing airbnb as a business or a livlihood. But they sent me an email notifying me of two payouts, for bookings that  happend last September and November! No explanation. Nothing. They sent me the email, oh and then the money. Nice. But what? Why?

Why am I getting payouts for stays that were  half year ago?

@Bernd83   There was a big glitch several months ago where NO Aussie hosts were getting paid for any bookings for about 2-3 weeks. Most seemed to resolve, but I still occasionally see a post from an Aussie host that they are still not receiving all payments on time, or still have missing payments. 

So this was probably playing catch-up with that glitch.

I'm not bad at bookkeeping, but, like you, I also don't rely on Airbnb bookings to live on. But I still check each time that $ for a booking is deposited in my account. Why should Airbnb get to collect interest on $ that should have been paid out that they sat on for months? Why should I host for nothing? If I wanted to do that, I'd sign up with couchsurfers.
