We had out-of-state guests over the weekend. Two weeks prior to their arrival they asked for beach chairs, so we bought 4 beach chairs. The day before their arrival they asked to check in early—3 hours early. My cleaner was able to accommodate a 2-hour early check-in, and even that cut it close. Guest had a couple of questions during their stay, which were answered right away. We bent over backwards to accommodate them. She gave us a nice written review, but gave us only 4 stars for cleanliness because ... there was one cobweb in the bathroom and one cobweb in one of the bedrooms. I nearly lost my mind! Had they not asked for early check-in, my cleaner would not have been rushed and perhaps would have noticed them. My husband and I were at the house after they left, and we had to look long and hard for them!! Lesson learned for us—we will not ever again allow any early check-ins when we have back to back guests.
This guest should have stayed at a resort instead. Rant over.
