May I know if there's a way for Co-hosts to know how much they'll be getting under Future transactions?
I'm asking because I had a bad experienced when a host contacted me to help with two of his reservations while he was out of town. We agreed on a fixed fee for each of the two reservation, and then when I tried to submit the proposal he said that he's not able to approve at his end. We assumed that there was a technical glitch, and so he suggested to add me as co-host instead and will co-share the payouts for these two reservations.
So during this period while he was away, I helped to clean the place and greeted the guests when they checked-in. A bit of ranting, but the place was really dirty - it felt like he had vacated the place and just wanted to fill the remaining days by renting out in airbnb. I think i even went beyond what i should have done by helping to clear his cabinet and cleaned the thick layer of dust inside the cupboard, as I couldnt really bear for the next two guests to stay in such unpleasant condition.
Usually hosts get paid out one day after the guest's check-in date, so when I didn't receive the co-host fees for the first guest, I tried to message him thru the app but since now he has not replied any of the messages for the past week. I think he might have moved out of the place and have no intention of returning to the apartment nor pay for my co-host fees. I have since written to Airbnb support to describe the situation. I'm not sure if I'll ever get back the co-host fees for my effort, but I just wanna warn everyone to be more careful when helping out as co-hosts. More importantly, I wanna ensure there is a mechanism for co-hosts to check the agreed fees as future payout. Also would there be anything that stop the host from stopping payment even though initial contract was established?
