Hello - this morning a guest who's booked my cottage for November, contacted me to say she'd received a response from me via Airbnb, that I'd clearly sent to someone else. I checked back and she's received a partial reply to an enquirer from 2 years ago. I haven't logged in to my Airbnb account for a few weeks, so it's not something I forwarded in error. Has anyone had the same problem? I don't know if my account's been hacked? I've tried contacting Airbnb directly, but because this doesn't correspond with any of their pre-scripted questions, I can't seem to do so!

I've had the same issue (receiving and apparently sending old messages) and, from twitter, it looks like others are having the issue too. I've emailed Airbnb and they are looking into it. Must be a system issue at their end.

Perhaps more worrying now is that they've posted this message from my mum's (sheena) account rather than my own account (Ailie). I'm obviously not logged into her account!! Definitely something up with Airbnb systems.

I have the same problem! A host has been getting messages from me that I sent to someone elae 2 years ago. It's really annoying. Also the messages came randomly at 4 in the morning and woke us both up. Jolly bad show airbnb. Please tell me how to stop it if you ever sort this out. Lesley
