How do I change Guest on a existing reservation ?

Hello recently I was contacted by a "Bride to Be" about renting my place for one of her guest in her wedding party . I told her that I would be more than happy to "Hold" my place until her guest was available to "Book" my place herself . After several days I heard back from the bride and she said that her guest was unavailable for a few more weeks(vacation) . She asked if she could "Book" my place until her guest was available .

Now the guest is ready to put the rental in her name . I can't seem to figure out how to change the reservations without negitively effecting my rating or my original guest(bride) being charged a cancelation fee ?

Whats the Best Solution ? Thanks in advance Tommy

I would suggest they contact BnB and see if they can help. You can't change the booking name as the bride to be has booked and paid.

There is nothing wrong with having a third party pay for the guest. Just make it clear that the third party is fully responsible for any problems. Paypal makes your payment simple. Communicate well and ask for names of all parties. If you don't get answers that satisfy you, cancel the booking. I recently had a concerned mother book our room for her highschool aged daughter and her friend traveling cross-country to see the daughter's brother. She couldn't book a hotel for them because she would have to be present with her credit card, so she experimented with Airbnb and we gave her a great customer experience. Contacted mom on girls' arrival, treated them like family that evening, fed them a breakfast of their choice, and sent a photo of the girls' departure from our driveway the next morning. Mom was overjoyed at the service she was given as a third party customer, and, in her review, she has said she plans to stop here when she makes the trip to see her son herself.

It is against Air BNB rules to have third party booking unless the booking is under the Business plan in which the third party booking agent is pre-registered with Air BNB.  That some host have had good experiences with third party booking is more the luck of the draw and had anything gone wrong, Air BNB would not cover the problem.
