Proposed St. Louis County MN Short-term Rental Ordinance

St. Louis County in Minnesota is proposing a short-term rental ordinance requiring licenses. Up until now for areas in townships or cities in the county without licensing requirements there has been no need for a license. Proposed rules seem to suggest that homeowners not only will need to get the county license but will also need to get a hotel / motel license, which is not required under state statute, and is frankly an absurd requirement.

The proposed ordinance changes are open for public comments until September 30th. I am hoping airbnb can support networking all of us to oppose the proposed language.

Many thanks.
