I am a Co-Host for an Air BnB in California. Recently I made a reservation for a Condo in Hawaii. Somehow the reservation went under the name of the Person I co-Host with. I believe our accounts are somehow intertwined so that I can see the messages he receives. I am trying to get this resolved but they are telling me I must pay a $115 Service Fee since I must cancel the origiinal reservation and start a new one under my name. This is Crazy.. I've spoken to several people in Customer Service, none of whom can offer any help whatsoever outside of promising me that someone will contact me. That is not happening.
I tried contacting the Host of the place in Hawaii and asked if they would just accept this reservation as it is but they are not willing to do the "third party" thing.
No idea why.
Any suggestions on how I should handle this?
I may be DONE with Air BnB altogether if this is the way they respond to this type of issue. I travel extensively and if they cannot resolve this I will no longer be a customer.
