Unpleasant guests

A family of 4 moved into my house on a June 1st, after two weeks, they told me there are bed bugs, this never happened to my property, and since they found out the bed bugs after two weeks, I really don’t think it started from my house. I offered them refund and ask them to leave and find an alternative, it’s safer this way, but they wouldn’t want to, they want me to pay for the exterminator fees and they continue staying there. I mean i never thought I caused the bed bugs, so I feel unfair to be fully responsible for this, I even told them I can pay for full and get someone to clean this, but I still want them to move out for their own good and safety so they don’t get hurt from those chemical treatments which I think I am being really reasonable. I purchased the new sheet for them immediately and I messaged my guest everyday, he seems really careless, ignore me for two days, and now he said I need to find new house for them, similar price as mine, entire house, 3 bedrooms, they don’t want it live in basement ( my house is $90 per night, there is no way I can find another house with this price) I’m just trying to help them and be responsible. Anyone of you wouldn’t want to stay there if there is bed bugs or used to have bed bugs right. I found few options for them and they don’t want to take any of it, they just want to stuck at my place and ask 50% of discount everyday (that’s $45 per night for entire house) this is so rediculous, can anyone tells me what should I do?

My guest is really irresponsible and keep ignoring me, I think bed bugs is a very critical issue, a problem that can not wait, so I want to fix this bed bugs as soon as possible, but I need them to move out, I just don’t understand why they just want to stuck there and not want to solve this problem.

@Lei25  Well. first of all, you need to get a professional in the house to confirm if there are bed bugs or not and then deal with extermination if its necessary.  Your guests will need to take measures also to ensure they aren't transferring bed bugs into whatever new place they might go to, I would surely never rehouse them in another one of your own properties because they would likely spread the  bugs to it.   If the professionals say no bed bugs, then you will know you are being scammed.  If there are bed bugs, then everyone, including your guests has to follow what the exterminator tells you to do.  Keep us posted.

Thank you for your suggestion! Appreciate it! I am going to hire a professional to do the cleaning, but I ask them to move out because I don’t want them to stay there while there is still bed bugs, you know beg bugs can’t be get rid of 

completely at once, I just don’t think my house is in a good condition for people to live since there is bed bugs. But they just don’t want to move out, which makes things so much harder for me.
