Weekly and Monthly Discounts not appearing on listing

Weekly and Monthly Discounts not appearing on listing

Hello,

I have been hosting since 2019. We've had multiple bookings for weeklong and monthlong stays, with the discounts (25% and 55% respectively) clearly displayed and applied on our listing. But, something recently has changed. The discounts are no longer showing up and I can't seem to wrap my mind around why. The settings appear to be correct. I'm hoping that someone here can help resolve this issue for us.

Thank you.

I also simulated some bookings on your listing and indeed: no weekly or monthly discount is calculated.

So it seems to be a glitch.

You can try to unset the discounts and then set them again.

If you have the options available to set other discounts (fe for 2 weeks), maybe try if they fail also.

Thanks Emiel,

I have already tried unsetting and then resetting the discounts without any luck. I created new discounts just now, as you suggested. Unfortunately, it hasn't changed anything. Very frustrating.

Did you also check if there are custom values set in specific weeks or months ?  (also to be found in discount section)

If not, i fear you need to contact Airbnb for this issue.

Yes, and there are no obvious concerns there either. I will contact Airbnb.

Hi, did you get this issue resolved? This is also happening to me. I have a monthly discount but it isn't being applied when a guest tried to book a month long stay.

Hi, @Ciarán3.

I'm sorry that you are having a problem with your monthly discount being applied. Yes, I did get this issue resolved. At least, I finally figured out what was happening. The issue was never ideally fixed in my opinion.

Our monthly discount settings had to be played with on our own website's backend in order to have them be applied properly on Airbnb. Even after making those adjustments, my concern was never totally assuaged in that Airbnb still to this day does not display the guest's final price as being discounted, and by how much.

For example, let's say a potential guest wanted to stay in our village for 1 month and she narrowed down her search for accommodation to our place and a competitor's. The regular nightly rate for both our lodges was the same and it worked out to $5,000.00 for thirty nights. Our discount was the same, say 55%. The total cost to the guest would be the same, regardless of which home she ultimately chose. The difference in her comparison is that Airbnb vividly illustrated our competitor's discount so that it was plain to see she'd be saving a whopping 55%, or $2,750.00 in green text, while our discount was not identified as such at all. This makes it look like she is getting a better deal at the competitor accommodation.

As mentioned, this happens because we manage our listing on Airbnb from our own website. We set our prices, listing details, cancellation policy, etc. outside of Airbnb and as a result, Airbnb does not treat our listing the same as someone that manages their property solely through their channel.

So, if you find that this is the case with you, then now you know why it's happening. If your monthly discount is truly not being applied to your listing, it might have to do with your own website settings. If you do not have your own website, then you might need to contact Airbnb customer support.

I hope this helps, good luck!

Hi, thanks for the update. I don't have my own website, it's all managed directly on the Airbnb site.
