Whether my 2.5 acre property is safe for children as i have a dam on it

Hi my property is on 2. 5 acres of semi cleared bush. We have a water hole/ dam that cannot be seen from the house, you have to walk through the bush to get to it. I am wondering where to put this info on my listing and whether any one sees this as a Not Safe for Children issue. My two boys grew up here and we always new where they were.

@Michelle1780 I would say definitely not safe.

You always knew where your boys were because you are a good, careful parent.

So many people are not, especially on holiday.

@Michelle1780 it should definitely be mentioned in the listing, and if it's not fenced off at all this needs to be highlighted as a risk for guests. You should also mention the dam in any introductory message to guests, not everyone reads listings thoroughly.

Have a look at some listings close to you, or others in rural areas. I have come across listings that have dams/waterholes or creeks on the property and they were mentioned in the listing and that parents were responsible for their children as there was no fencing around the waterhole or creek.

I have put 2 Children Safety Warnings on my listing, I am going to put a sign NO ENTRY sign on the track to the dam. You cannot see the dam from the house & yard, it is through the bush down the hill, so I am hoping 'out of sight out of mind' I am just not sure if I should tick Yes or No to SAFE FOR CHILDREN on my listing.  I appreciate your opinions, I am new to this and am almost ready for Publishing
