can a guest pay a deposit at the time of reservation with balance paid prior to arrival?

Is a guest able to pay a deposit then pay the balance say one month prior to arrival? Or does the full amount need to be paid at the time of reservation? Many thanks

The system is set up so that the full amount has to be paid at the time of reservation.  All payments go through the airbnb payment system.

Like already mentioned all payments must be paid in full...

That's the only way Airbnb can guarantee you will be paid...

Remember your guest can always book less days to guarantee the reservation and extend the dates later if the dates still available... If you feel good about the guest you can even block the additional nights till your guest is ready to pay for the additional days. 😉
