Hi, thanks in advance for any help. I am very frustrated about this issue and somehow i cannot find a way to contact airbnb directly.

So, I sent a message to the host asking about check in time.
Sometimes people is flexible regarding check in/ out times, so I thought it would be a good idea to check with the host before booking.

I sent him a message asking if I could drop off my luggage and take a quick shower at my arrival time that was earlier than their check in time.
I dont know how but it seems I accidentally requested to book the place.
So the host accepted it before reading my messages where i was clearly saying I'd like to know if this was possible, BEFORE BOOKING.
Now he sent me an approval saying I was welcome to wait for about 3 hours in the comfortable couch at the lobby.

I am furious.
He could´ve said it wasn't possible for them to let me in earlier than their stated time. Instead of accepting my request.... am i right !?

Now he's not getting back to me after several attempts and messages...
what am i supposed to do now...?

There should be a helpline number for Airbnb.. try to call them and explain your concern. Also try to text the host and get in touch once again, sharing the same message with your specific needs & if you still don't get a response contact Airbnb. You can get their contact details from the contact us section on the website.

Sorry this happened to you. Furious is a strong emotion. If you start out this way, it won't be good for you or the host. I would try to contact the host again. Ask for their help and explain your need. Be understanding. They may not be able to accommodate an early check-in, as they may have other guests leaving the same day. If you won't have early access, consider adjusting your arrival time by taking in some of the city sights or relaxing on that couch in the lobby. Just as you accidently submitted a booking Request instead of an Inquiry, the host may have accidently Accepted, while thinking they were giving you a Pre-Approval.  In any case, try to let go of the negative feelings you have. Enjoy your trip!

Sorry, but you must be really bad at concentrating when you do something with a computer :

 - as a host you got it all wrong in 2014.

 - as a traveller you book the wrong listing for you

 - as community member you post the same text twice

(i already responded to the other exact same thread here :  https://community.airbnb.com/t5/Community-Help/accepting-a-booking-before-reading-a-message/m-p/2793... )
