I live in Canada but I am 17. Is it possible to book a room in korea if my korean age is 18? (since you're not allowed to rent a room when you're below 18)

The allowed age is 18 years, counted from the moment of birth in order to be able to open an account on Airbnb, and not what an ID paper says.

This due to 18 being the age that one is allowed to sign legal papers (in most countries) i.e. contracts, and booking a room is a legal contract.

Interesting concept that Koreans count that differently, hadn't known that! 🙂

@Grace110  I would think whatever the age on your identification says is the age that sticks with Airbnb.  I'm guessing your ID says 17, therefore you are not legally able to make a reservation on Airbnb.
