Hello everyone,
My name is Javier and I am a superhost based in Uruguay. I spoke with Joe Gebbia about an organisation I am involved in called 'Connectus Medical'. We provide travel help to people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and after our discussion he encouraged me to share our work here, with the rest of the Community.
A large amount of patients with CKD are afraid to travel. We want to change this, and so we coordinate and enable patients who wish to travel all over the world, to be close to centers and the hemodialysis services they need. Currently around 2800 people have been able to do this.
All of the centers across the world are actually based near to Airbnb listings. Through my knowledge of hosting, I feel positive that the welcome Airbnb hosts provide would make them feel safe and secure when they are staying during their travels and hope we can encourage this further.
What are your thoughts on this?
