Does anyone has any idea about the methods used from Airbnb in order to calculate the final rating for each of the attributes it uses? (Accuracy, Check-in, Cleanliness, Communication, Location, Value and Overall rating). I'm trying to have an answer about this from the help center but after a lot of mails the conclusion is null. It looks that they don't understand what I'm asking for, or, they don't want to give a straight answer.
The only answer they gave me is that the finals are not average but they are not giving the criteria that rules rating.

Ok, I clearly understood that the rating attributes(Accuracy, Check-in, Cleanliness, Communication, Location, Value and Overall rating) are not computed as averages.
My question still remains.
Could you or your specialist please explain me the way these attributes are computed?
Do I have the right to learn about it?

And the Airbnb's answer:
We do not compute the average for all the 6 attributes because we depend on the overall experience. Not with the average ratings of the attributes.

I did not realize the overall ratings were not the mathematical average of your individual ratings.
How did you come to realize this?
And have you received any answer from AirBnB about how it is calculated?

The problem is that the Airbnb's answers where very abstract
Here is the problem for which I'm asking an answer:
Let’s consider about an attribute, Accuracy for example,
Supposing that you have already 10 guests, from which 8 gave a review about Accuracy.
Here are their individual ratings
Guest No: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
Rating: 5 5 5 4 - - 5 4 5 4
Does anybody knows how the final rating for Accuracy comes out?
Is it an average thing between those who gave ratings? (8 of them)
Is it an average between all of them (10 Guests)
Is it something different?
@Dimitris31 @Matthew285 Airbnb does not use the individual category ratings to calculate your overall rating. Meaning a guest can give you 5 stars in each individual category, but only 1 star Overall and the 1 star is the rating that sticks.
I did a very poor job in explaining what I was saying
(and what I thought Dimitris was asking).
If you go to your Stats tab and look at your Ratings, you see several categories:
Overall Experience, Cleanliness, Communication, Check-In, Location, Value.
I understand your Overall Experience Rating is just what the user chooses (and is not calculated from any other the other 6 things).
When you look at the detail for any of those ratings, you see a histogram of all the individual ratings you have received in those 7 categories.
I thought Dimitris was saying that the overall rating in each of the 7 categories was NOT the mathematical average of the individual ratings you received in each of those categories.
But apparently what he thought was that the Overall Experience Rating (one of the 7 categories) was mathematically determined from the other 6? And he was asking how that was calculated (when in actuality it is just set by the guest).
In that case, I misunderstood what he was asking.
So then the overall numbers in the Ratings page of your Stats tab are indeed the mathematical average of the ratings given by the individual guests in each category?
(I don't know if I am making the situation better or worse here..)
