Hi hosts, I'm proposing this feature to be added to the airbnb system. If you agree with me, please send the feedback message to the airbnb help center so we can have stronger voice and have us heard.
I'm writing to propose an added feature to review system: Automatic review, for host or guest who don't manually leave a review in 14 days. This is the method using by a few online marketplace websites to ensure fair reviews and ratings.
Because the reality is, there's a good portion of people, nearly 50% who are satisfied with the listing will not leave a review, for various reasons, one of it being too busy to leave reviews. Me myself is never a reviewer because it's really too much of a hassle. It's like you buy stuff from grocery store, you don't go on google to review the store. It's same logic in here.
And this is the reason why we have to introduce the automatic review feature, because the complainer are more likely to leave reviews than the people who are satisfied and perfectly fine with the listing. This really disadvantage the hosts a lot when you are only taking in consideration of the complainer low reviews and ignore the satisfied customers who didn't leave the review. And in my case, I have 50% guest who didn't leave a review, and I'm sure they like my listings and just didn't have time to leave a review. Otherwise they'll complain and leave a bad review. So my star rating should have been much higher than how it is now had the system allow automatic reviews of five stars for everyone who didn't leave a review. This method is really way fair than our current rating system. Because it's really the truth that whoever didn't complain is satisfied, and we need to hear those voices as well and it needs to be reflected in our reviews.
And I propose that the way it works for the guest or host who didn't leave review in 14 days, the system posts 5 star rating automatically and in the comment section it writes: " Automatic review after 14 days, the guest or host did not leave any comment."
Thank you so much for listening to me and I sincerely hope this feature can come into reality soon!
