Cancelling a reservation and getting full refund?

Hello all, I have travelled to Gdansk the other day and found the host house very unappealing. The room was very messy and full of cats hair. Anyway when I have arrived I have cancelled the reservation, when on the property. The host busted in the room and demanded why?

I have explained but he was vey offended, why, what, would I have done so. 

The deal, is when do i get the refund and do I get it at all?

I have not heard from Airbnb since, still waiting for an answer.

If you cancelled the reservation somehow, you should have left. Why were you still there? Your refund depends on his cancellation policy. I doubt you'll get anything back since you cancelled on the day of the reservation and were still there when the owner came to see what was going on.

@Hanna92, you won't be refunded for cancelling on the day except in really extenuating circumstances. You might get a refund from Airbnb but you might not. Just review the place accordingly.
