Declining someone more than once because of a pet.

A new one for me. I have a family wanting to book my place and, in their inquiry, asked if they could bring two dogs. I declined, using the drop down menu...."not suitable guests because if issues such as pets", and told them that my rules state no pets. I then received an inquirty from them yet again telling me that the dogs are both therapy dogs, so I declined again with the same reason and a note telling them that I am very allergic to some dogs. Now I get a third message from the same people and this time they state that they will get a dog sitter and will not bring the dogs....but they cannot put in another reservation inquiry.

My question: Once I have declined the same inquiry twice for being not suitable is that guest automatically blocked from making any new booking requests? Seems odd.

It is kind of nice that this is the policy, if indeed it is. Keeps us from declining people over and over who won't take no for an answer.

You might want to just tell them sorry, nothing you can do, the system does not allow, etc. They, and you, will be happier if they can find a pet-friendly host.

If they are the sort who will keep trying anything, not at all concerned that you will get very ill, they may just be telling you what you want to hear, and low and behold will show up with the dogs? Just a thought (based on some experience...)

@Monica4 This might be a good time for that new Block feature.
