Does airbnb message blocking ever stop?

I understand that airbnb blocks content (and attachments?) until a date has been sent, and then airbnb send contact info. And I think I understand why. That's ok. What I want to know is whether the blocking stops after the dates are set. Can I send the House Manual as an attachment? Can I send urls with restaurant suggestions?

The issue for me is that I actually really *do* want to send messages via the message center on the airbnb site. It keeps everything in one place. But once I send something by my own email in order to get around the blocking, the client is as likely to respond to that thread.

Any suggestions?

Carie

Yes, once the guest has booked you will find that most blocks are lifted - however, to be safe, you should really use your own mail client to send attachments (eg Outlook, etc...)

Just been told that none of my clients gets any of the attachments I have been sending by email.  This is all the arrival instructions and how to pick up keys

You need to send attachments to their private e-mail using the encrypted e-mail address in their profile. Tell your guests over the airbnb platform messaging that you have done so and ask them to check their spam folder just in case.  Such messages sometimes go into the spam folder. Using the app, you can add photos.
