For those with in-law suites, how do you do the dishes?

I know laundry can be outsourced to the cleaners, but how do you do the dishes? Is it a good idea to buy a countertop dishwasher for an in law suite? Or perhaps just provide guests with paper plates? The in law suite doesn't have a full kitchen-- just a mini fridge and a microwave (and a coffee maker).

I would think a sponge and liquid soap would be sufficient for when guests want to clean a few cups/mugs or an extra bowl or plate they used for a quick snack.

We used to wash guests' dishes but it was complicated logistically and we got tired of it. We now provide a small dishwasher, which is a much better set-up, less waste, dirty dishes left out, or being rinsed in bathroom sink, etc. I recommend it.
