Airbnb does not withhold taxes.  They will send a 1099 (Income statement) for you to include when you file your taxes.  If you are concerned with the added tax burden all at once you can always pay anticipated taxes in advance.  Best to check with a tax professional...

I had a note on a recent payout that Airbnb was paying the local occupancy tax. Mine is 3 percent. Is this true? How do I get the absolute truth about how their tax structure works?
