How long are my reviews valid for superhost assessment

Hi,

I have been hosting in airbnb for several years with several venues simultaneously and during that time collected around 300+ reviews. One of my venues has been a bit of problematic and it has been hard to achieve high reviews from there. I have decided to stop renting it as it is harming my general host score and bringing down the average a lot.

1) If I delete the bad listing - do the reviews get deleted as well and my total rating increases that is coming from my other listings?

2) Or if the reviews will not get eliminated - is there any kind of period of expiry when the reviews are not relevant anymore and airbnb stops taking them into account when assessing Superhost status ( a year? five years? anything?)

Thanks

Endrik

Hello @Endrik0,

The superhost status is for the host in general, not for individual listings, so the reviews and ratings will stay on your profile when a listing is removed from your profile.

When determining eligibility for superhost status Airbnb takes ratings for the previous 12 months into account. If you remove the problem listing now its ratings will have an effect up to and including the October 2019 superhost review. They'll have no effect on subsequent superhost reviews.

Erik, I looked at your profile and read the negative reviews for the unlisted large apartment.  It appears that it is a smart move to unlist that space until you can iron out the issues related to the complaints.  As to the effects of the reviews, Steve is correct about the reviews contributing to your total Super Host rating.  However, when potential guests see your current listing, they will only see the reviews for that listing, which are more positive.  Should the potential guest desire to investigate further, they can see all the reviews, but I doubt that they will do that.
