@Linda108 @Tom-and-Cyndi0 Oh Linda, unfortunately as @Marlene5 has done, I think we are going to see more and more of this, and I also think Tom has hit the nail on the head.
Airbnb are acting as though these listings/hostings are their property to handle any way they see fit.....THEY ARE NOT!!!
We have poured a lot of money into offering to the public something which Airbnb just happens to be a part of....not the centre of!
Over the past 18 months I have seen an ever rising sense of despondency on the part of hosts and the posts they are offering creeping into the Community Centre. Many of the wonderful contributors from the past have gone! The humour that used to be here, and was rewarded with likes has gone, rarely does a post of recent times attract any attention.....it will simply be a disgruntled question answered by a disgruntled answer.
More recently I have been trying to build up hosts who have felt duded over Superhost status, cancellations or something else which they feel let down by...I am trying to make them feel good when they deserve too! I am, in a miniscule way, trying to gee the platform along, but even I have got to the point where I am going to look at listing alternately with VRBO or someone else.
I just wish I felt that I was worth the effort I have put into being an Airbnb host!
