More guests than reservation

I had a last minute booking today for one guest and I am not 100 % sure, but I think he brought someone with him. I do not charge for extra guests unless there's more than 2, but his reservation says for one and I set it up for one guest staying 2 nights, not 2 guests staying 2 nights. Also, I think I should be informed if there is more guests than on the reservation. Am I being too picky? Any idea how to deal with this? Do I message and ask him if there's morethan just him? If so, what then?

@Michelle-and-Ray0, I would start by sending a message to the guest asking if there is a second person staying, so that you might provide the proper amount of supplies.

Hopefully they will be honest, since there is not a higher cost to them for having a second person.

Thanks, @Matthew0. That's what I ended up doing. Turns out he's new, like me, and didn't understand how many people the place actually slept and thought 2 beds meant 2 people. He missed the "4 Guests" part, I guess. LOL
