New listing with one 3 star review - should I start over?

Hi all,

I only started hosting 2 months ago. For one of my listing, unfortunately, my first guest left me a 3-star review. She didn't read the listing description properly - she thought she would have her own bathroom, but I clearly stated in the listing it is a SHARED bathroom. She ended up give me a 3 star for accuracy and 3 star overall. I don't think she fully understands how the rating system in Airbnb works.

Now whenever I search for this listing, I have to really zoom into the area to see this listing. I think the 3 star is probably affecting my listing visibility on the search.

My question is should I just duplicate this listing and start over? I understand the review will still be there, but I'm hoping my "new" listing will have better visibility.

Thanks!

Isabel

@Isabel634

Your ratings and the review text will remain. The text is not that bad and your comment on it is professional. So i would continue with same listing and try to get better reviews. Then listing will raise in popularity .

Thanks for the reply!

@Isabel634, I agree with @Emiel1. it's extremely disheartening to receive a review based on a guest's failure to read the listing and it's unfortunate that this happened on your first review. But it will get better and the more bookings you get, the higher your listing will appear. I wouldn't worry about starting again. Chin up and keep going!
