I have one particular guest who, last time she visited, left a poor review for first class accommodation, loads of breakfast in a sparkling clean and quirky house with river views, city centre at silly money (£33 for two people...). She's here again complaining. I really don't want her to come back again - ever!!! How can I activate this please...
@Claire314 Report her and block her. Also review her with a thumbs down. She won't even see your listing anymore.
thanks Letitia -that was quick!
- how do I block someone? By giving her the 'thumbs down'?
Claire
@Claire314 Go to her profile page you'll see a flag on it click on selct other and then block. The thumbs down is done via your review of her. A thumbs down and your property becomes invisible to her.
Ahh - that's great - thanks so much Letitia - it's easy when you know how!!!
.
Hi @Letti0 , so if I get this right, there are 2 ways to block someone
1. flag the persons profile
2. thumbs down in the review
Do both actions result in my listing becoming unvisible for this guest?
@Ute42 The flagging makes them unable to book with you or message you. It's also anonymous, so they don't know you did it. The thumbs down and 3* make them unable to IB with anyone. You have now become Casper the Ghost to them ;D
.
Hi @Letti0 , thank You
One more Question
which of these 3 answers is correct:
A The thumbs down and 3* make them unable to IB with anyone
B The thumbs down make them unable to IB with anyone
C The 3* rating make them unable to IB with anyone
How do You know all this - is there an official statement from ABB
or is this Your experience?
@Ute42 A is the correct answer.
It's a combination of both. I read everything I can, including the dreaded TOS in full multiple times lol... I am a n a l I admit it ;D
@Ute0@Leticia0the thumbs down MAY make them unable to IB with some hosts -- I say MAY bc not all hosts have their listings set to positive review required, also, 1 bad review, i do not believe, offsets other positive reviews, or is enough to ban them. This like many things a) is purposefully vague by abb and b) abb tends to give guests benefit of doubt.
Also, a 3* makes a guest unable to message you, but I do not believe it makes you invisible
