Hi Folks,
This is my first time posting to the forum. I'm hoping for a bit of feedback.
I just received the following from a person who is a member since September 2018 and has no photo, no verifications or any other info in their profile, just a (typically) female name.
"I saw your reviews on line. I am very new to Northern California and I’m just wanting to know what’s close to us in (redacted location, but it is 600 miles away from my location) that we may rent from you one weekend? Thank you so Much for your time"
I'm not sure what to think of this. Interestingly, it came very shortly after my latest review. It seems suspicoius to me, though I have had several guests who had no reviews and very little information in their profiles who have all been just great. Perhaps they really are just looking for fun trips for the future...
Thanks!
That's a very confusing request, not necessarily suspicious though. Why not just reply and ask for clarification, pointing out that your location is not close to them?
Thanks Lisa!
I've sent a reply, so we'll see how it goes from here.
And here's her reply, looks like you were spot-on, Lisa!
"Well see, obviously I don’t have my bearings!! I was just hoping you had something closer to me for a glamping weekend but I can’t drive that far for a weekend lol. If you can ever direct me to something closer I would appreciate you!!! Sorry for the confusion"
Just mentioning in @Lisa723, so she get notified about your reply @Heather515.
Glad you have managed to get more clarity around this. 🙂
Happy hosting.
