Taxes

I'm confused.

The tax information pages say that Airbnb collects taxes for WA., but my payouts do not reflect that. What's going on?

I want to know too. It looks like Air collects taxes for my state but not my county. When I got a quote about what I would receive from the stay, there was no line for taxes. But if I pretended to be a traveler, it looked like it charged me the state taxes.

I have asked to see two of my guests receipts and ABB does add occupancy tax and a "service" fee which is not reflected in my charge. For example, I charge $67 a night.  ABB translates that and charges the guest $69 and removes a $2 host fee leaving me with $67 in my checking account.  However; the guest does not pay $69, the guest pays $86.  In other words, an additional $19 is taken in by ABB on each transaction, and of that they are charging tax.  Now I assume that they are sending that tax payment to the state where I live?  But I haven't found any information from ABB to confirm that.

If they are not submitting the taxes, I am going to be in a really tough spot come tax time!
