I am a caring host, who enjoys welcoming & meeting my guests. I just had an awful experience, with a guest:
- who booked
- didn't respond to my message concerning possible check-in time
- Harassed me on the next morning (intended to be his arrival day), firmely imposing his arrival time, at noon. To which I explained that I was not available before 18h, as stated in my message. And if he wanted to tunr up & wait outside for 6 hours, it was up to him.
Thankfully, I rapidly summed up the situation & told him: "Since, the chck-in time is not convenient for you, please find another place to stay & I will refund you 100%" And that's excactly what I did & felt relived to no longer have to deal with him.
He then wrote a very nasty review saying all sorts of false things, even inventing that I threatened him, when we spoke on the phone... But, most importantly he have me a 1 star rate!
So, my point is, AirBnB shouldn't allow reviews on either side, when the guest doesn't even check-in. How can someone comment about a person they didn't even meet, who hasn't occupied the location ect. how can we say if the left it clean, respected the rules & so on when they didn't even stay? Is there any way this could be rectified?
Thank you for reading my message & please share your opinions. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all,
Helen.
