Third party bookings/business trips

Third party bookings/business trips

Airbnb says that they don't allow third party bookings, but the business trips seem to be a loophole.  Our current guests booked as a business trip I believe and have been difficult.  Having to go through someone who is not staying here makes things much worse expecially when the guest speak limited English so they aren't able to read the translated messages.   Of course, Airbnb support has been litle help and very frustrating...

Has anyone else had this issue and have a good solution? Is there a way to confirm that the group has a business account and does Airbnb offer anything to help with communication?

Outside of tons of questions (things like wifi info which are posted on the fridge and in the guidebook), the guests were smoking on the front porch with the door to the unit open.  When I asked them to only smoke on the back porch (as in the house rules which are printed out on the fridge, in each bedroom and in the guidebook), the guest walked through the apartment with his LIT CIGARETTE to get to the back porch!!! Oh yeah and while I was in there showing them how to fill out the parking passes (for which we have an illustrated guide) I noticed that the stove burners were set to ignite so they just kept clicking...really glad they didn't have them set so they were leaking gas.  This is just me venting now 😄

hello @Chelsie-And-Kevin0 ,

If booked via a business account, booking is normally done by some secretary, travelmanager etc., who's job it is to do third party bookings for their employees etc.. But then their are always two profiles you communicate with: the booker and the guest. Some communication is also automatically shared between them. For you it is a "normal" guest, the only difference is the guest did not book and pay for the trip, it's done by the company.  It's the only valid way Airbnb allows third party bookings.

I have a guest coming next week, booked in vi business trip loop hole.

I have no Idea of who is coming, the person called themselves Brbre, and I have no Idea if that is a man or a woman, from where the person comes, and I have seen no picture, so I have no idea if it is the right person coming.. or nothing.

I asked  both AirBnB and the guset to cancel it, with no reaction. AirBnB said to med that it is allowed to book third party when it is business trip. But I never get my permission to let anonymous persons live in my privat home, together wit me and my two kids.

I have now asked them to cancel it again, but because it is less than a week before, and my cancellation is set to Moderate, I do of course not want to refund it.

this is really worrying me. I do not like this! I will never accept a third party here again. I already had bad experiences with that.
