Those of you Who Have Been Here Awhile...Need Info about Views

I started with Airbnb the first of November and had a lot of views almost from start-up.  After a few months, I decided to do a separate listing and list only the downstairs in my guest cabin, which was my second listing.  My first listing included the entire cabin, upstairs and downstairs.  It has been well over a month since I did that second listing and it has not gathered any interest whatsoever, thus no bookings.  In the last month, my views have dropped over 50% to the listing that includes the entire cabin.  Can it be that the second listing, which is the bottom floor of the cabin, is dragging the views down for the first listing?  I am puzzled as to why views dropped so dramatically in 30 days.  I still have some bookings thru the 18th for the entire cabin, but not even so much as an inquiry after that.  Just trying to understand.  If the second listing does drag the first down in views, perhaps I should do away with it?

@Susan1404: Look at your current views and than start doing small things. Add a picture or two to the listing, change or add some wording to your description. Comment on the community boards. Generally these kinds of things help with algorithm of the Airbnb platform and getting traffic to your page. At least I've found it helps move us around in the search. Check in a week and see if your views have jumped up at all.

I also don't know if with the weather has been a detriment to people traveling to your area. Seems like its been nothing but cold, cold, cold above the Florida / Georgia line.

@Barry-and-Lera0thanks for your advice.  I tweaked some things last night just to see if it would help.  I also added instant booking.  I'm a little scared of that, but I guess it is worth a try to see what will happen.  It is just so odd that I was over 300+ views for 30 days consistently, and then in the last 30 days, it just dropped off completely, down now to 152 and has stayed there for days.  It is so funny you mention the cold.  I have had people from Florida tell me that and then I've had people from the north tell me how nice it is down here.  I guess it is all relative to what you are used to.

@Susan1404  I agree with @Barry-and-Lera0.  Your pictures are confusing as you need to highlight the actual private space.  Also, how does your price compare to comparable private rooms in your area?  Why do guests come to your area?  An entire cabin is sought by families or groups while a private room is sought by singles and couples.  If you are not getting any views, it is probably related to weather and price.  Good luck!

@Linda108, thank you for the advice.  It's not really a private room - it is the entire bottom floor including living room, dining room, bathroom and kitchen, plus laundry.  I can't figure out a way to describe it and I tried to put it in the title to explain it.  I guess I need to think about it some more.  The fact is , the entire bottom floor will actually sleep 4 guests because I have a sleeper sofa and queen air mattress.  As for why they come to my area - huge amount of film industry in my town.   There are tours on the square and a museum and shop devoted to it.  Some big Hollywood stars have been here.   However, it is winter and although we are not that cold here in central Georgia, it has rained and rained some more.   Thank you again.
