What do you consider when planning your seating?

Seating planning.jpg

Hey there everyone!

Have you ever entered a home and found the same seating as either your own home or somewhere else? Not me! The range of furniture on offer is huge and what you decide to have in your listing can really help to set the mood you are going for. If you rent out a large space, you might aim for a large sofa or if you host a private room, you may have gone for a couple of comfy chairs. And don't forget to keep those items on theme!

When you were fitting your listing or your home out, what where you thoughts on seating?

Thanks,

Stephanie

@Stephanie:

COMFORT! COMFORT! COMFORT! Guests will either be sitting or laying for the majority of time they are in a home. Therefore, both must be comfortable. I personally hate visiting a home and sitting on uncomfortable furniture and I don't think guests appreciate it either. Looks are one thing, useability is another. When we outfitted our homes we chose soft sofas with recliners. One of our homes actually has five recliners in the living room!

Hello @Stephanie

I am an offsite host with 3 listing. I have designed a sofa that can be used as a single bed in the night. I have it in two of my listing and it has been succesful. Actually  it has not the purpose of being be used as a single's bed on a daily basis. It is an option for short periods of time when there is a third or 4th guest depending on the apartment. Anyway it provides the same comfort and can work perfectly as a bed for the average person. It have been working (as sofa and single's bed) well for more than 8 years. I have made a third one, that will be "launched" soon in another listing.

(Sorry for editing my post. I wanted to add something)

The motive I had decide to design it and mount it on my own, it is because I wanted something very durable, functional, customized, and that fitted my budget.
