Why are guests allowed to instant book without a photo?

Guests are booking without a photo!! This is ridiculous, and we won't stand for it. Begin as many new conversation threads as possible to bring this to their attention. Clearly, either their algorithm doesn't work, or they don't care about their hosts. Something needs to be done about this dangerous situation.

There are already dozens of 'conversation threads' about this subject from the past few months.

Enter this subject in 'search' and you'll find them.

You can still insist on Full Verification w. ID, as well as viewing Guest Photo in your booking settings.

In the latter case, the change in policy means Guest profile photo will become visible after a booking is complete.

ps. If post booking you view Guest profile photo, and the profile is not of a person (i.e. cartoon character, flower, tree, etc), you can contact Airbnb to insist Guest posts human photo or cancel the booking.
