airbnb cancelling reservations without notifying host

This has been a recurring issue during the pandemic - Airbnb 'specialists' have been cancelling reservations for COVID in my account.  But, I'm not notified of these cancellations - no e-mails, no notice of cancellations in my thread with guests, and nothing in the dashboard.  If I don't know there's a cancellation, I can't try to rebook  to recover the loss.  I brought this to the attention of airbnb customer service, and they are filing it as a bug report, so they can get it fixed.  I maintain that i should be paid out for cancellations that I'm not notified about.  



Other hosts noticing anything similar?  I'm thinking this might need to be arbitrated .  Is there a policy that states Airbnb sends host notifications of cancellations?
