I would decline their request as you have more than likely lost the opportunity to book your place. They will have to either go through with their original booking dates or cancel the booking which in the end you should be paid. With that said, they may contact Airbnb, get a sympathetic ear and cancel the booking for them without penalty. It really depends on the CX agent they get. Airbnb does indicate that they have the right to cancel any booking and not payout the host.
