Hello everyone,

I'm so sorry for not getting this out to you sooner, I'm sure I will lose my hat as meetup organiser soon. 🙂

The next meetup is meant to be happening tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov 4th), but as I know many of you will be following the elections, I am conscious that you might not actually have been to bed by the time of the meetup (as it would be early in the morning for you). So I'm going to push it back a day and host it on Thursday November 5th. I hope this time/day works for you.

Details: Thursday November 5th, 1PM (UK)

Timezones:

Thursday November 5th, 7AM (Kansas City / Pensacola, Florida)

Thursday November 5th, 8AM (New York / Toronto)

Thursday November 5th, 2PM (Spain)

Thursday November 5th, 10PM (Seoul)

Thursday November 5th, 10:30PM (Darwin)

Thursday November 5th, 11:30PM (Adelaide) - Sorry this is quite late for your Robin (I know you are a night owl)

New to CC socials: For anyone new to the socials, it's a weekly online meetup where CC members come together to connect with each other and have a bit of positivity along the way. It's not specifically Airbnb focused and anyone new is very welcome.

A massive thank you @Marissa107@Jessica-and-Henry0@Cathie19@Ann72@Lawrene0@Clara116, @Liv and @Inna22 for joining the meetup today. It was so lovely to see you all, a ray of sunshine and brightness 🙂

I totally agree with you Cathie, Inna it was fantastic to welcome you to the social, I hope you enjoyed yourself and will join again.

...I also learned a lot about jackfruit, it gives me something to investigate more during our lockdown period...

Thanks again and take care.

It was so fun to see everyone! I loved a little history lesson from @Ann72 about all the first ladies. And looked up the tuna ribs. @Marissa107 - were you the one who mentioned it? We are going to the local market on Sunday to hunt for it. And was just so great to connect with everyone

Oh noooooo, I missed meeting @Inna22!!!  I was already bummed that I didn't see the other regulars, but now I am really feeling down since I missed Inna.

Don't just believe what I say, check the Airbnb Help Center

@Debra300 next time for sure!

@Cathie19 , yes, you can freeze that pulled jackfruit. I looked it up. 🙂

Great seeing everyone and catching up.

While I'm not a cook and far from being vegan/vegetarian, I found the chat about jackfruit fascinating - I did not know jackfruit was a meat substitute. Korean cuisine is meat-based so vegans/vegetarians are rare, and for many Koreans when we think vegetarian, "temple food" usually comes to mind. Here's a link for those interested 😀

Like I said during our meetup yesterday....... I have an 아저씨 입맛 meaning my food preferences are in line with a "middle-age Korean male (=Ahjussi)" I like and enjoy everything on this list from the link below except horse meat (which is actually hard to come by in Korea so I've never had the chance to try it) - my personal favorites are 곱창 (gopchang), 보쌈 (bossam), 회 (hoe, also known as sashimi - I enjoy both fish and meat versions)

It was soooooo nice to see you all again ladies! Thanks @Lizzie for organizing once more.

I hope your therapy went smoothly @Clara116 and hoping it will soon be over.

@Inna22 I'll have to pay a visit now to my fish monger and grab some fresh tuna ribs!

And @Cathie19 here's the recipe to wake you up in the morning full of vigor and energy:

Banana/Dates/Chocolate Natilla (Custard):

2 ripe bananas

5 pitted regular dates or less if using Majooli ( or more if you want it sweeter)

1 tbsp pure Cocoa powder

Cinnamon to taste

Blend with any milk or water ( I have thicker consistency during summer and top it up with ice cubes)

Enjoy !

@Lizzie @Jessica-and-Henry0 @Inna22 @Lawrene0 @Cathie19 @Marissa107 @Ann72 hey everyone, it was so lovely seeing and hearing your voices and getting a positive dose of goodness from you all on the last meet up on zoom. So glad to finally meet @Inna22

the therapy is one week down.....my ear is getting a tan/sunburn and itching but that's  small stuff. I have only 5 more weeks every day - 25 more treatments - I'll be finished hopefully Dec. 15th according to the calendar/schedule. Another good part is it forces me to get my act together - every day - and I was the one that didn't want to go anywhere, ever and now daily, kinda weird. I play a game with it all as much as I can -  it must all be absolutely exact and I must hold "perfectly still" - Don't you know I  had great fear of what IF - a sneeze, cough, itch or anything at the moments of treatment - my team of therapist assure me, "just raise or move a hand" - " we have eyes on you every second" I'm grateful to have insurance and that such medical care is offered and can help me.

Sending big hellos and best wishes to you all - till me meet again.

hopeful our country will find peace quickly and stop all the craziness. It can not continue the "them against us"  narrative. I pray Open the eyes of our hearts Lord.   Clara
