Staying active
Hello everyone,
I hope you’re well!
Being active is very important for our health. I do quite a lot of exercising, to stay fit and many of the people around me exercise as well which is very motivating.
I know it’s not easy to find the time during a busy day of hosting, however, I was wondering if you try to take time for yourself and perhaps exercise when you have a spare moment? Exercise, doesn’t always mean going to the gym, perhaps you enjoy going for a long walk close by or further afield?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Quincy

@Quincy, I like going for walk! It is good for the health to walk 30-50 minutes a day! 🙂

Hey @J-Renato0, that sounds very healthy! How many kilometres do you roughly cover in that timeframe? I can imagine it can be quite tough going for long walks as it 31 degrees Celsius in Rio right now!

Hello @Quincy
In the summer, I go for a walk in the evening, when the sun are going down.. at the end of the day. Even in other months of the years I prefer walking in the evening to walking when the day is still hot. And yes, in the summer it is too hot in Rio. The termometer can reach 40 celsius in the streets, where there is no shadows 🙂
I do not know precisely about the distances. I think I take about 40 minutes to walk about 8 or 7 km on a easy pace. (roughly 4 to go, 4 to return).

I am here again. Your questions about distance aroused my curiousity. I went to G. Maps to get the distances between the point I usually go walking. To my surprise, the total of kilometers to go and go back it is 4,2 kilometers. If I go further somedays, the total at the most is 6 km 🙂

@J-Renato0, that's not bad! The distance seems to be a nice one too :-). How many times a week do you go out for a walk (just out of curiosity)?

Also @J Renato, I've edited your post a little bit so that my name is tagged. I will then receive a notification saying that I've been tagged which in return will make it easier for me to get back to your reply :-).

@QuincyHi, I like to walk around our village and aim for a daily walk of around 35 minutes. Just for fun, and fitness, I have a hula hoop and like to 'do' 600 'hoops' or whatever they might be called - that takes me six minutes. I turned 70 last month 🙂
cheers to all 🙂

Hi @Lyn3, it sounds like you're doing very well! It's been a while since I've used a hula hoop. I know we have a couple of them in our gym, but I rarely see anyone using it.
Congratulations Lyn! here's to an even more healthier lifestyle!

@Nutth0, I know you're an experienced hiker! I think it's really cool that you're hosting Airbnb experiences and especially the exposure to nature should feel really good. Have you had a lot of bookings for your experience lately?

Yes, a lot of guests is really nice and support me. I still have to manage my time for hosting a home and host an experience. Even it just only 6 months some how my experience also got more reviews than the home!!

Salute @Quincy
Thank you for this topic.
Now, i walk alot, and for staying active, i prefer to go to some places walking. But when i have time, i go running or play football, especially on saturdays and sundays.
Thanks,
Miloud
