I’m very sorry to say that the price when you search for the accommodation does not reflect real end price for the accommodation as posted, there is always some tax added to the what you think final amount. ****** you air bnb!!!!
Although I'm very new here as a host, isn't it the case that the same thing happens in your industry?
When I search for a flight, I'm shown a price that doesn't include taxes, fees, extra charges for every piece of luggage, seat selection, every small coffee or drink, parking fees, etc. But Airbnb probably took it a bit too far here.
By 2026, Airbnb has largely shifted toward a "host-only" fee structure for transparency, where guests see a total price upfront without separate service fees.
happy new year
As a frequent Airbnb traveller I can't confirm your experience, @Christian4656 .
(Personally I prefer a more polite language.)
@Till-and-Jutta0 I think it depends on the country (combination of host and guest). The end price is required by law in Europe, since several years (started about 2008 for airlines and 2018 for a lot of other branches like Airbnb). US followed last year, through FTC.
