Hi there .
I have rent my Airbnb out for 30 days (my fourth booking) and not sure what the norm is to do with bedding and towels, do I give new bedsign during the stay and clean towels or ?
Kind regards Charlotte
@Charlotte1676 You make your own norm - just make sure it is clearly stated in your listing.
We always liked to change bedding a) to protect it from over use and b) to allow us to see how the place was being looked after
thank you 🙏🏾
Hi @Charlotte1676 There is no absolute norm about this, as @Mike-And-Jane0 said.
I often get longer stays, 1-3 months, as a lot of my guests are visiting academics. I say in my listing that mid-stay cleans and linen changes can be arranged, at cost, paid direct to my cleaner. Occasionally, if someone books one month at peak rates, I'll throw in a free mid-stay clean/linen change at no extra charge. Guests staying longer than that always want to arrange mid-stay cleans, about once every 2 or 3 weeks, (and I leave ample extra towels at the listing, so guests can always wash towels whenever they wish).
I also use the cleaning slots as an opportunity to do some garden maintenance, and without intruding upon the guest's stay any further.
Hi @Charlotte1676,
With Mike and Tara's insights in mind, how do you think you're going to proceed going forward?
Let us know please, as it might inspire others 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie

Hi Emilie
Some really good points they have 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I don't think I'll offer mid stay clean for 30 days but I will give clean bedding twice in a 30 day stay and leave a small Hoover that can best used 🫣😊also I prefer not to have longer stays that 30 days to keep my flexibility for when we need to make use of the space ourselves 🙂🙂
Kind regards Charlotte 🙂
Also give clean towels ever 10 day s🫣
That makes sense!
I'm glad the responses from other hosts were helpful, and I hope this approach works well for you @Charlotte1676 -let us know if you have any more questions 😊
