A Dishonest host

This host is a **.

On 22 Jun, we accidentally booked the place check in on on the same date at 9.37pm, no one would check in at this late for this price. Despite reverting to at 9.58pm upon realizing booked the wrong date, he was adamant about not giving back our money 600 dollars or forcing us to book the date that would cost us 1200 dollars.

It was my hard-earned 2 part-time jobs saved for my birthday party, and the host shamelessly swallowed my savings. The host was not honest about the huge price difference and blamed us for making him lose a 2-hours opportunity (it was 12am when we found out the huge price difference after going back and forth with airbnb).

Mr W, Your behavior chill down my spine, my first ever encounter of such shameless, despicable, immoral person. You're such a **, ** would face the same fate one day. Karma will hit you back.

Best of all Airbnb condoned such unprofessional behavior. No alternative to genuine booking mistake, condoned to dishonest host behavior. It was tiresome talking 8 to Airbnb agents trying to resolve bring our money back. Most of the time network issues, line breaking up, we have to repeat ourselves repeatitively over the the course of 4 days. We were tired, upset, frustrated, sad, but it's frutile. Airbnb agents just shut us off with empty promises.

@Shew6  I’m sorry this happened to you; it’s an understandable mistake.

I really think a guest should have a couple of hours to cancel bookings, regardless of when the stay is and what the policy is.

If not that, at least the host should be more understanding when a guest makes this kind of mistake, especially when the guest catches it immediately. Other accommodations, flight, and rental car providers will do this, even on non-refundable bookings, when it’s obvious that it was an unintentional slip.
