Air BNB says I violated the standards because of a FLY!

So my house keeper left the window open and the lights on. Accidentally a few house flies came in and were attracted to the light. The people checked in and saw a few bugs and asked for a fly swatter which we provided. Then after they used all the beds and the bathroom decided to leave late at night. They contacted Air BNB the next day and immediately got a FULL refund. I never even got paid for a cleaning fee or anything. Air BNB is increasingly unreliable and their agents set unrealistic expectations for hosts. I am very dissatisfied. I should be paid. Other people were calling and would have gladly taken that room with no complaints.

@Priscilla273 always put something in your listing/house rules that guests may encounter insects on your property. That is the only way to cover yourself if you get a complaint.

Most rational humans would expect to see an insect once in a while, even indoors. In our region bugs are part of the deal. But every now and again you get a phobic guest, or a guest who comes from a desert region, or just an out and out "I want a free stay/I want my money back because my friends are staying elsewhere and its too late to cancel" guest who will abuse the system.

@Laura2592. Thank you for the feedback. I will consider that.
