I had 4 upcoming reservations cancelled. On the inbox notes it says "Cancelled by Airbnb". Two of the guests have reached out wondering why we cancelled. We didn't! One guest asked if it was a mistake. This has happened to her before. I assured her it was but how can I prevent this from happening again in the future? Have you encountered a similar situation? Thanks.
This is not normal, obviously and is not within Airbnb's self interest to do so. Stands to reason there is a reason and calling Airbnb is the best way to find out what it is.
@Suna41 if it has happened to the guest before it may well be that they have misbehaved in the past and/or Airbnb classes them as a party risk (usually young and booking close to home).
