Airbnb Gift Card Processing Nightmare

I purchased "6" $1000 Airbnb Gift Cards to pay for $6000 stay in Switzerland.   During payment, 5 of the 6 Gift Cards were processed, but error processing the 6th gift card.   I was advised the processing error was due to a daily limit (NOT POSTED ANYWHERE), and they would process the following day.  In the meantime, they charged my CC the $1000 balance.  When the 6th Gift Card was processed they said they would apply the credit to the account and refund me the $1000 charge on cc.   When the 6th card was processed, they credited back $1000 to cc, but never applied the $1000 credit to the reservation as promised!  Now they say I must pay cash because the reservation has been completed.  But I still have $1000 credit on account and refuse to apply to the balance due!  DOZENS OF CALLS/CHATS/EMAILS - WITH NO RESOLUTION.  FURIOUS.
