I received an inquiry from a 63-year-old guest who wants to book our property for 3 nights. He and 5 friends would be staying, but they also want to host a Saturday night party for about 30 additional people. He mentioned the group will be his childhood friends and peers, so the crowd will mostly be older.
Our home is a 3-level property with bedrooms and bathrooms on each level, the main living space on the 2nd floor, and a rooftop patio.
Would you consider this type of booking okay to accept, or is it too much of a risk given Airbnb’s policies and liability?
I totally would not allow this to happen in my home. What about your policies and your liability? Trash, damages, parking, noise, injuries/falls, utility use, being a good neighbor?
We older folks are still pretty wild, and 35 of us? Reliving our childhoods? Oh, my!!
Do let us know what you decide!
A big NOPE....
You are risking all kinds of damage and a listing suspension by Airbnb by allowing a "party"

Thanks, I appreciate the clarity. I’m new to hosting and coming up on my first year as a host. This was my first inquiry regarding a party, and while I knew there was a policy against them, I just couldn’t find it.
Hi @Max2943,
Best,

6 guests? Easy.
30 extra ‘childhood friends’? That’s a senior Woodstock waiting to happen.
Rooftop disco with orthopedic shoes, living room conga line… Airbnb might call it a ‘liability situation.’
Love the energy, but maybe keep the nostalgia alive without turning your house into a party arena.
