Hi AirBnb
I've had my house rented out for 14 days during my holiday. I came home yesterday , after my holiday. I've gode through the whole house, and have seen that one of the beds are broken. The springs are broken, maybe from jumping in it.
What do I do ?
Best Regards, Dennis
If you want an honest reply, if it's just a spring I would repair it and move on. I wouldn't get myself into claims and retaliations and bickering over that. Things break, it happens.
The more "correct " response is that you can ask the guest to pay ("Send/Request money") and file an Aircover claim if they don't.
Hi,
I don’t think this is a major damage. Also, it may not necessarily have been caused by the last guest. The bed could have been gradually damaged over time and simply broken during the last stay. After all, a bed is something that is used regularly and normal wear and tear should also be taken into consideration. In this situation, I would probably just repair it and move on.
It sounds like serious damage and you deserve to be compensated. Yes, you need to ask guests to pay; if not use this: https://www.airbnb.com/resources/hosting-homes/a/how-aircover-for-hosts-works-469
Hi there @Dennis-Ketelsen0, I'm sorry to hear about the broken bed. I was just wondering whether you've seen the replies from Shelley and Diana?
